So I'm gonna be upgrading my desktop a gaming rig pretty soon... here's what I've got:
Processor- i3-3210 3.2Ghz gonna stick with that for a while
Motherboard Intel® Desktop Board DH61BF
RAM I've got 2x2GB now.
Case- not sure, it's a cheap tower case which supports ATX/Micro ATX (http://www.kunhar.com/vipcabinets/value.html)
HDD- A 500GB HDD that I've got.
No cooling, and I've still got to check the PSU.

Here are my planned upgrades, getting the graphics card in the US, rest back home in India
An EVGA GTX 960 - 210$ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487091
Kingston SSD 64GB - Rs. 3000 (<60$)
http://www.flipkart.com/kingston-ssdnow-v100-64-gb-ssd-internal-hard-drive-sv100s2-64g/p/itmd2rynzfk5syae
Crosair Vengence 8GB RAM - Rs 6000 (<100$)
http://www.flipkart.com/corsair-vengeance-ddr3-8-gb-1-x-gb-pc-dram-cmz8gx3m1a1600c10/p/itmd8cfmbufg3dnq
and maybe a new PSU (if needed.)

What I wanted to know was :
1. Can I bring the graphics card to India (flying Etihad via Abu Dhabi), don't want it to be confisicated
2. If I put in the 8GB stick, will i be able to keep in one of the 2GB ones, to bump it up to 10GB?
3.Will this play the newest games on Medium-High settings. Would like to play GTA V, The Crew...etc
4. Any other suggestions? I'm on a pretty tight budget though...can't really spend much more.
Thanks in advance

Also, I completely forgot. Since I already have Intel HD 2500, will I have to remove it or something before installing the graphics card. Sorry for being a complete noob. And how much power do you estimate a rig like this will draw?

1. Don't think there will be a problem if you put it in your backpack that you will carry with you in the cabin.
2. Yes, you will be able although it's not recommended for performance reasons. 1x8 at 1600mhz is a much better choice.
3. It will play the newest games on medium-high except some graphically demanding games that may require you to play on medium.
4. Can't really suggest anything because your motherboard is old and can't host any of the new processors, plus your CPU will bottleneck the 970 which I would suggest over the 960 because of it's price/performance ratio. I can suggest if you need a good budget cooling solution check:

Make sure that it fits your case though.
