Looking to build my first PC.. Budget of £700 - Would like to run Star Citizen and BF4. Literally all it will be use for is watching films and playing a few games every now and then.

If you spot anything that I can improve or isn't compatible please let me know... Don't want to blow myself or the rig up haha!

Edit - This is what I'm looking at -

AMD FX-8350
Asus M5A97 R2.0
Kingston 16GB
Samsung 1TB
Gigabyte Radeon R9 280X
Corsair 200R
Arctic Cooling Arctic F12
Zalman 600W
Optical Drive
Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE

£700 equals like AUD $1350 at the moment? So I'd say a 1155 socket mother board coupled with a k series CPU for the over clocking

Run 16gb or 1333mhz or 1600mhz (remember dig between 1333mhz and 2400mhz in gaming is 2-3fps)

A gtx660/760 should do nicely (preferably 4gb OC models)

Use thermaltake psu calculator website to find the wattage you'll need (don't go cheap here make sure you get a high quality psu, brand alike thermaltake, silverstone or corsair will do nicely)

Get a 7200rpm 1 TB hdd and a 120gb Samsung Evo ssd for your OS

And that should cover the basics at a reasonable price.

Sorry I don't like giving exact parts to people in recommendations, because a lot of the time it comes to what you think looks best so that means only you know what you want!

I've got a couple of questions here, bit of a noob -

I'm looking at this setup -

AMD FX-8350
Asus M5A97 R2.0
Kingston 16GB
Samsung 1TB
Gigabyte Radeon R9 280X
Corsair 200R
Arctic Cooling Arctic F12
Zalman 600W
Optical Drive
Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE

Do I need to get a cpu cooler or should I use the stock cooler? Is my motherboard compatible with the CPU and the case? Any other things you may see that I need to add/change? Thanks, James
