Building my first PC (Help with Components)

Hello there! So this will be my first time building a computer and i am wondering if all of the following components will work correctly and if they're all compatible with each other in order for me to successfully build it.

For the next parts i plan to use some old components from my old PC to save a bit of money.

I plan on using a 2TB Hard Drive (SATA Disk Drive)

I plan on using 2 4GB DDR3 RAM Sticks

and my old Optical Disk

So, can anyone tell me if there is anything i should know or if i need to change any of these components because they do not fit/match up, etc. Thanks.
