Hey everyone,

Very new to building a PC, literally my first one lol.

I built it based off gaming, mostly COD and Fortnite. I made a build on Newegg, would greatly appreciate some input and feedback, any and all would be greatly appreciated please.

The link below is my build:

Thank you in advance,

B

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

I'd look into a 850W or higher PSU to power that build, while also looking into an NVME M.2 SSD for the OS and/or games. I'd keep the 2.5" drive as a last option,. try and work with M.2 drives.

Outside of those two things, the build looks stellar! Bravo for sourcing/selecting those parts!

As there is quite the price difference, I would suggest a 12700 non k, and a solid B660 board instead. You are going to get similar performance, at a much cheaper price.

You are overpaying on some items, causing you to settle on less gaming performance. Case I am not confident in, airflow wise.

This is a little cheaper, and you get a better GPU, and more/faster storage.

Thank you so much, I read a lot of articles and watched many "how to build a gaming PC for dummies" on YouTube lol.

I'll switch out for a higher PSU and look into the SSD you mentioned.

Hey,

So I chose the Intel Core i7-12700, is that the one you're talking about? Apologies, I am still learning a lot here. I swapped out the motherboard, thank you for that. In regards to the case, what would you suggest in reagrds to more airflow?

Thank you again for taking the time to do all this, greatly appreciate it and you

Nit picking a little but you could consider taking the os drive to a 512gb and see if that frees up enough budget for something like a 4tb storage since I’m assuming your games etc will be installed on the storage drive.

This is a really dumb question, but do you mean add 4TB of hard drive on top of the 512GB SSD?

Thank you for the reply.

I apologize. So you had I think a 1tb ssd listed I'm assuming for your OS, and a 2tb for storage. My thought was go to a 500gb ssd for the OS, and a 4tb for the storage. So yes 2 separate drives. But when you install games from Steam for example, you can point them to go to another folder, so just point them to the secondary drive.

No apologies needed, I just wanted a bit more clarification. Greatly appreciate your input.

I took your list, and made a new one. It is linked in my post above. Looks like some pricing and availably changes have happened, since I posted it. It's best you shop around, so I did a build in PCPP instead.

If you still want RGB ram and cooling, and an even better board that has a better power delivery, better audio, then this would work.

On ssd, I did see this out there. Never used one but reviews looked decent. But 2tb is plenty to start with for sure.
