Hi, I am about to build my first ever PC, I'm fairly nervous about messing up so are there any tips that I should know before building it? I know about getting rid of static electricity beforehand, but are there many other tips like that I should know?

Also, is there any changes I should make to my build? (My PC is primarily for gaming however I will be using it a lot for schoolwork and potentially programming) I would not really want to spend much more money though so please take that into consideration, although I may get 16gb RAM instead of 8gb.
