so i'm trying to build my first ever pc, got almost all of the items home only psu / gpu left which are on their way. but i got a few question which hopefully you guys can clear up for me :)

Specs.
Msi z170a gaming m7
Intelcore i7-6700k (will be water cooled)
MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Gaming X (8gb)
Samsung SSD 850 EVO (250gb) 2x.
2x G.skill Ripjaws V. 8 gb 3000 MHz?
EVGA SuperNOVA 550 G2 550W.
6x be-quiet shadow wings

Question 1, will this work? are they compatible?
Question 2, will my memory fry the cpu since their power draw is at the limit of what my motherboard recommends? 1.35 volts.
Question 3, is the a 550w psu enough?

Thanks.

Solution
Q1: Yes and yes
Q2: Nope, it'll work fine
Q3: Since you have the Z170 chipset and an unlocked core i7 I would go with something around 700-750W Gold80+ certified PSU. Assuming you'll be doing some serious overclocking.
1) Yes, compatibility is OK. I just don't see the point in getting 2 SSDs. I would get only 1, and the second drive should be a mechanical HDD with large storage, at least 1TB.
2) memory is compatible, no worries.
3) it is enough for this build, a very quality PSU. But if you aim for very high overclocks on both CPU and GPU, get 600W+ for more headroom.

Solution

At the moment i'm not looking for any overclocking as the games i play don't really need it but eventually i might but by then i'll probably switch out psu / whatever that needs to be switched.

herrwizo, i really don't need that much space but i'll see if i can buy a reliable hdd to add in later.

Thanks for the answers. :)
