Hi

Approximate Purchase Date: As soon as im sure its a good build

Budget Range: around £1000 - £1500 preferably but can go a little above if its worth it

System Usage from Most to Least Important will be mainly used for gaming and watching movies, use a laptop for most other things.

Parts Not Required: none, will be buying everything new once a good build has been decided on

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: amazon, but dont mind other websites if you guys recommend them

Country: Uk

Parts Preferences: by brand or type wanting a tower case (any good brand), Intel cpu and nvidia graphics

Overclocking: if recommended

SLI or Crossfire: what you guys think is best

Monitor Resolution: 1920 x 1080

Additional Comments: baby proof! lol, i would prefer a quiet computer but a little noise for better performance is fine as i usually have headphones on. desktop will be used for gaming (mainly rpg games like fallout 4 and skyrim would prefer high/ultra settings for most games) and some recording game play too. thanks for fast reply :)

Comments:
At that price range, you should include an SSD (for the OS and applications)
HDD - don't get a 5400 RPM drive. You want 7200 RPM
OS - Almost certainly no real need for Win 10 Pro. For a gaming PC, Win 10 Home is just fine. Zero performance difference.
Cooling - Why "2" of those?

Hey, USAFRet, i will start having a look at SSD's and a new HDD now.
i will also change it to windows 10 home if it has no real benefits for gaming.
As for cooling a friend of mine said if the case can fit 2 to get 2, as the "colder the better" is that not correct? they are not really cheap so it will make a fair difference in price lol.

I would consider dropping down from the i7-6700k to the i5-6600k.
use the saved money to get the 6gb version of the 1060 and a SSD for the OS + 7200rpm HDD.
Drop the pro version of windows.
1 cooler?

Hey Hards_80, i think i can keep the i7-6700k and upgrade to the 6gb version of the 1060 (was not a huge price difference on amazon uk)

Updated list of parts.

No, 2 of those is not automagically 'colder'.
And FAR more complexity.

In fact, don't get that one at all.
If you really desire a liquid cooler (not necessary), look at the Cryorig line. I have an A80, and it is nice.

However....unless you are venturing into the upper realms of overclocking, a regular good quality air cooler will work just as well, be cheaper, and be quieter.

The Cryorig H5 Universal - http://www.cryorig.com/h5-universal.php
or the Noctua line. NH-D15, NH-D14S - http://noctua.at/en/products/cpu-cooler-retail
