Hello there PC builder.

I want to start a project for the next few months. I would like to build my OWN Gaming computer. I have a basic knowledge of computer; I NEVER EVER built a computer before, I only fixed things; Changed CPU; Changed RAM, HDD. I made a list of what I consider a solid build but I would like to know your opinion. I live in Canada so the price are all CAD. I listed the items all from newegg.ca (which I heard really good comments of).
I hope I am not missing anything if I do, Please tell me!!! IT will be the very first time I actually build and not buy a computer . So here's the parts:

CPU: Intel Core i7-5820K [$469.99 + $6.99 Shipping]
/*GPU: EVGA GTX 970 4G GDDR5 [$434.99 + $8.99 Shipping]*/
UPDATE GPU:NVIDIA - GeForce GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics
^---- Found it less expensive at my local bestbuy store [$379.99 + FREE SHIPPING]
MOBO: MSI X99S SLI Plus LGA 2011-v3 [$269.99 + $9.99 Shipping]
MEMORY: CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4 [$349.99 + $8.99 Shipping]
PSU: CORSAIR RM Series RM850 850W ATX12V v2.31 [$189.99 + $9.99 Shipping]

CASE: Cooler Master CM 690 II Advanced - Mid Tower Computer Case with USB 3.0

and Water Cooling Support [$128.97 + $51.39$ Shipping]
COOLING: Cooler Master Seidon 120M – All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and Fan [$79.99 + $8.99 Shipping]

OTHER: Cooler Master ThermalFusion 400 - High Performance Thermal Compound [$9.99 + $6.99 Shipping]

CD-PLAYER: LG Black 16X BD-R 2X BD-RE 16X [$79.99 + $9.99 Shipping]

HD: Western Digital WD Green WD20EZRX 2TB[$97.99 + $5.99 Shipping]

SSD: SAMSUNG 850 EVO MZ-75E120B/AM 2.5" 120GB SATA III 3-D Vertical Internal [$89.99 + $5.99 Shipping]

Grand total: $2260.25 CAD
UPDATE -64.98 (GPU)
New grand total: $2195.27 CAD
My few points are:
Does the price looks too expensive for the build ? ( I don't feel so)
Consider in this build there is no OS
And I never setup an OS with an ssd, is it like installing on a HD ?

Thank you for your support !

Solution
Wow around 140$ just for shipping...Looks like a solid build though, should last for awhile (even longer if you eventually SLI that GPU). When your building it don't rush and take your time, its easy to overlook small details and be sure to do a good job on cable managment (zip ties!) which will help a bit with air flow and temp. Installing the OS on the SSD will be the same as the HD, if for some reason it doesnt detect or wont allow to install on the SSD, turn off the system, disconnect your storage drive then install it on the SSD. Once your up and running post it on PCPartpicker, would love to see it finished. Good luck with the build!

Awesome to hear that ! Do you think something is missing ? I hope I have all the components for the build!

I literally just finished building a PC and I'm Canadian too and there's something you need to know. Around this time of the year, Newegg Canada is actually one of the most expensive sites to buy PC parts from. Personally, I found that most of my parts had the best prices either from NCIX or DIRECTCANADA (also all my products were free shipping). That said, I encourage you to use pcpartpicker to pick your parts, that way you can follow the prices while you do your research before building. Keep in mind, there are a few small tricks you have to do to get free shipping on all your items from NCIX and DIRECTCANADA. For example, directcanada only provides free shipping on orders over $50, so make sure you organize your parts such that you can get them shipped free of charge. Good luck!

Looks like you've got everything, even the thermal paste. The case looks large enough to support everything, can probably mount the radiator on the top of the inside of the case.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/HRLqyc Same everything 300 CAD cheaper. I would get a larger ssd, because ssd runs fastest at under 85% storage. Plus a 256 is a better deal per gig.

Looks like a great build, truly if you wanted to save money you don't need an i7 for most things along with 16 GB of ram but it would help with overall performance

Beat if luck on your build

A lot of the products sold by the particular companies you have there don't even ship to Canada and if they do, they charge domestic shipping rates. It's really just best to buy from Canadian websites if you're a Canadian. Also, either you didn't calculate the exchange rate or Canadian HST because what you have there actually totals to more than what his grand total was in CAD (if you include shipping). Stick to Canadian websites if you're a Canadian.

I did calculate the exchange rate, but that was about it.

Also be sure you look into the gtx 970 stuttering issue before you buy it.
