Building new 4k UHD Gaming PC for pre-2017 games.

My six year old desktop is nearly at end of its' life and I wish to build a new desktop PC for gaming.

My budget is kinda undecided 1000 dollarish or 70 000 INR

What I managed to decide so far is as following

Rough Drafts
3.0 GHz Quad or Hex core CPU
X99 or Z170 Chipset
16 GB DDR3 or DDR4 Memory
240 GB SSD PCIe or M.2
MasterCase Pro 5
550 W EVGA Power Supply
3GB GDDR5 Nvidia

Some drafts here

I wish to achieve 4K Resolutions of pre-2017 games @ 40 FPS maxed out so please suggest me something that's value for money when combined togeather. FYI I only gonna run games 1080x60p or 1080x120p for now as I'm waiting for 4K HDR becoming a standard to buy 4K HDR Screen.

1) Wait for RYZEN to be released, then see what pricing is.

2) Hard to read, but I see a 3GB video card? That's not suitable for 4K gaming. You'll want at least 6GB.

3) Gaming at 4K rarely makes sense. Sure, get a 4K monitor later but running 2560x1440 at higher quality and/or frame rate almost always is the best solution. 4K can drop FPS in half vs 2560x1440 yet rarely give much visual benefit.

4) I'll attempt to make a build if I can find a site.

5) i7-5820K isn't the best gaming CPU. You're better off with an i7-7700K or similar with higher performance per core. Less cores, but it will still do better in games.

THIS probably won't match India pricing, but I made a $1000USD build:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pnCw8K

It's probably not quite optimal but since I don't know exact pricing I'll just leave it there.

I would like to add an SSD, better CPU cooler, increase HDD size etc but that's a starting point. Again, I'd wait for RYZEN.

*Most importantly you need to balance the CPU and GPU (don't get an expensive CPU if GPU is now too weak and vice versa). Don't get a crappy motherboard either.

I was thinking of 6800k or 6700k but constant switching between X99 and Z170 makes my head hurt. I'm not sure if I'll ever game 4k on PC coz I'm Console person. but some games play better on PC and Modding is PC only so yes PC is much better. 1080p120 or 1080p60 should serve me fine if I can max out pre-2017 games. I'm not VR fan or 4K Gaming Fan at all. Just future proofing. All I play is some strategy games. RPG's Turn Based or Racing. Leaving high requirement stuff like GTA or Dishonored/Hitman/Tomb Raider or Assassin's Creed games to consoles.

Did I mention I have Cooler Master EVO 212X that can be harvested. With 1 TB Caviar Black and Retail Copy of Windows not OEM so no need to spend of OS.

X99 is too expensive.
I've checked your BUDGET and frankly I don't understand how you expect to fit an i7-6700K and everything else into that.

Again, I'd wait for RYZEN, but the goal is to balance the parts. That's what I've done above, and even if we take away Windows and the cost of a drive I think that's still likely to max out your budget.

The 6800K is about $420USD. You might be able to get a RYZEN 4C/8T CPU for under $200. You really NEED to get an adequate CPU etc and push as much money as possible towards the GRAPHICS CARD.

Also, 4K isn't necessary for a better experience. 2560x1440 is arguably the better choice but it depends on the budget. If you want 4K, 120Hz, HDR etc that's probably going to be $2000 for the monitor alone this year. You can buy a 2560x1440, IPS, 60Hz monitor for $350.

PCPARTPICKER:
Even if you can't buy there, you can BUILD and ask others opinions, then modify it if the parts are too expensive locally or not available.

You make a NEW SYSTEM BUILD, then start with the CPU. The site tries to prevent choosing parts that don't match.

Did I say thousnadish which is not fixed and GPU, Display, Cooler, Mouse and Keyboard is not included in a budget of 1000 USD. I forgot to mention and I'm sorry for not sticking to format asked in stickies. It's just so stressful to lose a PC right when you are in a middle of something. Yes my PC died HDD, GPU, Display, Cooler and Optical Drive all intact and ready to be harvested. Windows license is retail not OEM so that too don't count in a budget.

Only things I'm buying are
CPU (Intel Only)
Mobo (ASRock Only)
Memory
Case (Cooler Master MasterCase Pro 5 only)
PSU (EVGA or Cooler Master and Modular only)
