Hi all,
I've been wanting to build a computer for awhile, and thought this is the right time. I researched a bit on what components are needed, but I've been a bit overwhelmed by all the information.

The primary goal for this computer is to play games. Nothing crazy, just some mmorpg games here and there. (FF14)

This is what I had in mind
I7-8700k
RTX 2080
CPU Cooler - EVGA CLC 280
Corsair Vengeance PRO 16 GB
Hitachi 3TB Hard Drive
Samsung 860 EVO 1TB
EVGA 1000W
MSI Performance Intel 8th GEN 1151 M.2 D-sub DVI DP USB 3.0
Predator XB271HU 27''
Logitech G502 hero
Razer Huntsman

Whichever part seems to be an overkill, please let me know so I can downgrade to something more affordable.

Thank you in advance!

Solution
For games like that I don't see the need of super high end CPU / GPU.

I think you should ask someone to spec you one out.
Personally, I wouldn't use an 8 series because now the 9s are out
I'd use a NVMe for the drive, just because it's there and better.
Wouldn't use a 1000W PSU - that is just over kill, even a 650W would be more than enough for that system.

This will be more than plenty for really decent mmorpg gaming.

Solution
The system listed above is not too bad.
I wouldn't use a h80i cooler though, I would go for something a bit bigger. If you want AIO (watercooling) then I would suggest the H115i from corsair.
You need to make sure that RAM is compatible with the motherboard listed - by checking on the manufacturers website
I'd use a 1TB NVMe drive and not a SSD style M2. Also I would go with a 970 Samsung Plus (plus is the latest ones).
The case is good and if you like "bling" go with the 500i
