[SOLVED] Building new PC. Confused about something.

What I am confused about is will the 2x pcie nvmes m.2s, sata ssd, and soundcard affect my GPU in any way? Will they soak up all the pcie lanes?

The 860 won't do anything to PCIE lanes.

The NVME SSDs and soundcard will use PCIE lanes, but it shouldn't be enough to affect any performance.

Great! That's what I wanted to hear. So no pcie lanes will be taken away from the GPU at all?

The Ryzen 9 3900x has 24 PCIe lanes. 4 goe to the chipset and are used for things like SATA and NVME devices. The remaining 20 lanes go for things you plug into the PCIE slot.

Of the 20 lanes available to PCIe slot, only 17 are used.
The gpu uses 16 lanes.
Sound card uses 1 lane.

So you actually have some to spare.
