Hi everyone. Building a desktop from scratch, for gaming purposes and animation (Autodesk Maya, Adobe AE, etc)
Was thinking of getting these parts:
ASUS GRAPHICS CARD GTX 970 4GB DDR5 DC II OC STRIX EDITION - 28k/-
BENQ GAMING MONITOR 24" EW2440L 1920x1080 - 12.5k/-
LG DVD RW INTERNAL 24X - 945/-
INTEL PROCESSOR CORE i5 6600K (Intel 6th Gen, Z170 Chipset, LGA1151 Socket, 6M Cache, up to 3.90 GHz) - 18.4k/-
WD 1TB PURPLE SATA - 3.8k
LOGITECH KEYBOARD & MOUSE COMBO MK200 USB (920-003550) - 825/-
MSI MOTHERBOARD Z170A PC MATE (INTEL SOCKET 1151/6 GENERATION SERIES CPU/MAX 64GB DDR4-3600MHZ MEMORY) - 10.4k/-
G.SKILL RAM RIPJAWS V 8GB DDR4 2133MHZ F4-2133C15S-8GVR - 5k/-
CORSAIR SMPS VS650 - 4.3k/-
Cabinet and UPS not decided yet
Will I need an extra fan(s) to reduce heating? Are there issues with GTX 970 and should I avoid it (no way I can buy 980, and should I even consider 960)? Since I won't be upgrading major parts in the next 3-4 years, is it alright to get Gen 4 MB and CPU or should I stick to Gen 6? RAM DDR3 or DDR4? Budget is kinda tight and these parts alone are rather expensive, so all suggestions are welcome.

Edit: these prices are in INR, not that relevant.

Why are yyou only looking at Nvidia? The 390 is better than the 970. If you are using the 6600k, you can only use DDR4 RAM:

I heard that AMD is not as good as Intel in terms of performance and life, I don't really know how true is that, so I thought I'd stick with Intel.

I'm talking gpus here. Intel gpus are junk.
