Hi I am going to build a PC and I didn't decide what to buy for Monitor and GPU. About GPU I want GTX 1080 and Monitor with 144hz, 27in, 2k/4k, 1ms and gaming but not too expensive. Any suggestions?
Screen tearing seems to either happen or it doesn't. I experienced it with 4K 60Hz, but not much besides that. Enabling Nvidia Fast Sync in Nvidia Control Panel fixed it for me.
Your i5-7500 will limit your framerate in some games at 1080p. But it shouldn't be anything to worry about. At 1440p your i5-7500 would have less limitations.
Is 4k bad for gaming? and I was wondering " what about curve? " I heard they prevent light reflection because I am using my computer beside my window where the sun comes in.
and one more thing, I will be receiving the monitor late and GPU will be arriving first. Meantime I want to game with my 1080p, 27in monitor, will I get any bottleneck or something like that?
Current + GPU arrive
Intel i5 7500MSI, GTX 1080 Gaming X, Corsair vengeance 8gb ram 2400mhz and samsung evo 860
It's not that 4K is bad, they're just not that great for gaming because they just don't have any 144Hz monitors in 4K yet. I have a 4K 60Hz 28" monitor and it's about like using my old 1080p 60Hz monitor.
I much rather game on my 1080p 144Hz monitor because it's so much smoother.
Curved might be good, I don't really know. Main thing is 144Hz and then 1440p.
Thank you very much! But do you know anything about bottlenecking by the way? 1080p 60hz (Current Monitor I have) and GTX 1080. Will I have frame rate issues? Like tearing / bottle neck / whatsoever? I really want to know what I'm buying.
