Long story short I need a new pc for gaming. I need advice on what to buy. Is now even a good time to be investing into a new rig? I basically need a new everything at this point. Should I buy refurbished from newegg or w.e? I dont really want to spend more than $700. Any advice is greatly appreciated.... maybe i just continue to use my toaster..... sigh

I just need advice like what processor should I buy to build around... and is replacing my 1050ti gpu even worth it if im not going to upgrade my garbage monitor?

my apologies ...

Approximate Purchase Date: next week or two

Budget Range: 700-800$

System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming

Are you buying a monitor: i need to

Parts to Upgrade: I need to upgrade everything 🙁 i have a 1050ti gpu thats it

Do you need to buy OS: no
Please note that if you're using an OEM license of Windows, you will need a new one when buying a new motherboard.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts:
cheapest

Location: ann arbor, michigan

Parts Preferences: cheapest

Overclocking: idk

SLI or Crossfire: idk what that is

Your Monitor Resolution: (1360/768) 36 inch samsung tv 🙁

Additional Comments: I need help on how to save $$

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I can barely run fortnite these days. Cant play nba 2k too laggy. had to quit poe because of lag when i got headhunter.... would like to play new games if they launch but the thought scares me on this toaster

I'm sick of this first gen i7 and this mobo that i cant put a better cpu in..... the processing this computer can do is god awful...im so tired of it

NOT going to replace the monitor in that 800 dollar budget??

Your later post says you are.

A new monitor will take at least 200 of that 800.

You need:

Case; maybe 75
RAM; maybe 50 to 100
CPU; maybe 200
Motherboard; maybe 150; maybe micro ATX
Power supply; maybe 75
CPU cooler if not included with the CPU; 30 to 50 if needed
Monitor??; 200 minimum?
Video card; maybe keep what you have

That would be right at 800

That would help a lot; spend 800 now and maybe buy a monitor in 6 months or a year.

You don't need to be concerned with crossfire, SLI, or overclocking.
