Hello, so I'm building a new PC and I need some help deciding whether or not I should change a few parts.
Here is the current list:
http://pcpartpicker.com/list/dp8ttJ
+gtx 1070 gpu

I'm not planning on OCing my cpu so would it be ideal to get a cheaper motherboard?
Also, would a mid tower be enough to fit everything or would a full tower be necessary?
Anything else I can make cheaper without sacrificing performance?

Thanks

Solution
You can go for a smaller 120GB SSD if all you are doing is putting the OS and some games on it. You definitely don't need the 850W PSU. Just get a cheap 500W PSU. If it's you first build please don't go all out cause you might screw up and ruin something and pay a lot to fix it. If you aren't OC don't get that Mobo there are much cheaper ones out there that do the same thing but don't support OC. Just get the i7 6700 instead of the 6700K. K is OC. Go to some used computer part places and show them your parts list and the can give you a estimate on how much they can get some parts for. You can get some parts there too ( used parts aren't so bad, some of my parts are used and does just as well and cheaper!) You don't need to spend that...

Don't buy a used case either. Other then you are set! Good Luck! :)

You could get away with a EVGA 750W model of that PSU. Also, you should definitely go with a cheaper motherboard, especially if you are not overclocking. You could choose something like the Asus Z170-A or the MSI Z170A KRAIT GAMING 3X.

I agree but maybe a little more than 500w and don't buy used parts if your already spending 1000

Is there much difference in performance between the two processors since one is 3.4ghz and the other is 4.0?

It is a little more expensive than that. The K chips don't come with coolers, so you have to get one. Just gets you that extra clock speed out of the box, though.

i7-6700k (4.2Ghz boost)
i7-6700 (4.0Ghz boost)

It is not a huge difference.
