Anyone noticed how the price keeps rising for building new PCs even if you do it yourself?
I can buy an older prebuilt PC with something like an i7 2600 and just change out the power supply and slot in a used dirt cheap mining card and have 80% of the performance of what something would cost at least twice as much to build.

Solution
I think that my 2012 3570k build is a similar price to a build i'm proposing, with 8x the solid state storage, 3x as many cores, 6x as many threads and faster RAM. It's certainly within 15%, and I haven't considered inflation.

Well there I think you found your answer. Most companies are in business to make money and they like to make more and more money as they continue to do business so the logical thing to do is raise prices especially when cost of materials also increase their going to pass everything onto you because they like money
