Hey gurus!
I'm at a loss here. I purchased individual components to put a new PC together, but for the life of me I can't get the display to go on or post.
I changed ram out, tried different slots, I changed GPUs, I changed the whole motherboard. The only thing I haven't changed out is the CPU (AMD Ryzen 9 5900)
And the power supply. (EVGA P6 1000)
I've updated BIOS on both motherboards. Asus Crosshair VIII Formula and Gigabyte X570 Elite.
The two different RAM kits I've tried are the Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600 32gb kit and the other set I switched the above out for is the T-Force Xstream 3600 16gb kit, both DDR4.
The Asus Crosshair formula first gave me a Q-Code error of B4. Saying to "update GPU BIOS". After a few resets it then gave me the Q-Code of 02 Post Error.
The Gigabyte board just doesn't post/turn display on at all.
Swapped between an RTX 3070 and an RTX 3090 TI and tried the onboard graphics on the gigabyte motherboard.
So I'm left with a possible DOA CPU? What would you think?
