I would return both of those and get the processor without the F on the end and buy you a board in the 400 or less $ area

Sorry for the delay. Thank you for being concerned for my budget and what I spend my money on. I didn't come here to be told what I should do with my money. If you don't want to answer my questions, then please refrain from commenting USAFRet. For the record, I included my M.2 info because it pertains to the whole build. Since I'm not a computer expert, I included it. If you have a problem with it, then you should probably excuse yourself from answering. I'd appreciate an unbiased answer from others, and if that's not available here, then I will find some place else that is less constrictive in their ideology. Given the MB and core a brand new, there's not an awful lot of info available doing Google searches.

I'd appreciate an unbiased answer from others, and if that's not available here, then I will find some place else that is less constrictive in their ideology.

What makes you think any of the opinions here are biased? Biased towards what?

I have no dog in this fight but I'll tell you without reservation that the two opinions you've received here already are two of the best you're going to find anywhere, on ANY tech forum, period. And I'm certainly not "biased" about anything related to you or what you do with your money, but I'm going to tell you exactly the same as they did that anybody willing to spend 1200 dollars on a motherboard for a system that will be used for photo and video editing, gaming and surfing the internet must have a lot more money than brains because it makes exactly ZERO sense.

So, if what you want to hear is what you want to hear, and not what you NEED to hear, from people who actually want to help you avoid making critical thinking errors, then perhaps you are right that another site where they honestly couldn't care less whether you make foolish mistakes or not would be better for you. If you want real help, then be willing to accept it and at the very least be willing to hear the reasons WHY it is a bad idea, rather than simply assuming the advice is bad just because it's contrary to the mistaken believe you had already decided upon that it was a good idea.

In reality there are only three reasons why anybody would buy an MSI Godlike motherboard.

One, they are an extreme overclocker and the company they work or freelance for is willing to pay for the hardware in the interest of creating a review of the results for publication, or the company sent them the board in order to get a review and free publicity.

Two, they are involved with creating advertisement for a company that sells cases and need an over the top flagship motherboard model with an extremely "clean" look for a case, and the company is paying the bill.

Three, they have little or no common sense but they have a lot of money and simply want this board to impress their rich friends with their "millionaires club" PC build.

Honestly, that's it. Now, if you are interested in actual help with recommendations that involve common sense and decades of experience, then I'm quite sure either of these gents would be fully capable of providing that but nobody is going to take something like this seriously unless you simply ARE that #3 person I noted above, in which case, if that were true, a person like that would be much better off simply taking their money to whomever is locally recommended as the most reputable builder in their area and working out the details with them. If you have that kind of money to throw around there is zero need for a person like that to have any need for help from this forum or to build it themselves.
