Hi, I'm building my tower at around $1000. (Main store I would be buying from is Amazon then bestbuy/walmart)

Since black friday is here and I'm trying to take advantage of it but don't know where to really start.
I picked some parts from pcpartpicker website and picked where all parts are compatible. I would like some suggestions/opinions if they are good or not. Or what I should switch out or even why getting what you suggested is better. I'm not very knowledgeable with computer parts but I would like to start building one and would love to have a pc at home to play some games. Games I'm trying to play are more mmo i.e. ff14online and some rpg from steam.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2xkmrV

Some external components I would like to have are light blue led that would fit into the price.

Thank You for your time and input,
j

Solution
MMO games are usually CPU heavy and that i5 with its limited threads might struggle in some of the games you play. The Ryzen 3700x on the other hand is newer and has 10 more threads and should give you similar and in some cases better performance than that i5. Also added better RAM/SSD/GPU. The rest of the components are all equally good quality and overall it will be a much better build for tha budget...

If it's around 1K, you still could probably spend a bit more and get a better 5700, the Red Dragon is 30$ more and it's one of the best 5700 models.

9700k runs hot. You need a better cooler. Also you have opted for a much slower sata SSD along with a slower card. This should be better...

If it's dump question you don't need to answer. How do u know what goes well and how the temp works? Like when I built my first one (the first post I listed) Cause all I know is picking the known brands and putting it together and saying it was compatible was good.

Experience, reviews, research and analysis. Basically if you read reviews and are a regular to forum posts like here, you will know too. Also understanding of how each part works helps. Also, I have built a lot of machines in the last 7-8yrs.
