Building PC advice, does this look ok?

Hey!

im building a new gaming pc and i need some advice if the Hardware i have choosen looks good :p the main thing is that it should bee able to play games at max settings...


*motherboard: ASUS SABERTOOTH X58, Socket-1366


* CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-950

* Videocard : radeon HD 6870 / GTX 560

* Ram: Kingston DDR3 HyperX 1600MHz 6gb

* Power: Corsair TX V2 850W PSU

*Hard drive: Samsung SpinPoint F4EG 2TB

so is this ok? i think this should play crysis 2 on max setting without problems...

Yes that will play Crysis 2 on max settings without a problem. I have an intel i5-2500k at stock settings with a GTX 460 and I can run it at max settings at about 30-40 FPS. Why don't you look at some of the new generation intel Sandy Bridge CPUs though? As far as I can tell you can get a cheaper CPU that outperforms the i7-950, like the i5-2500 or i5-2500k (depending on whether you are planning to OC).

TY, but the problem with the i5 is that my motherboard cant run thoose cuz of the socket... all i5's has 1155 (as i know) and i need a 1366 socket :p

Oh, I didn't know you already had that motherboard. I thought you were planning on buying all of this. Well in that case I think that processor is more than enough.
