I wanted to build a rig for video editing with Sony Vegas, AfterEffects along with Photoshop, CorelDraw & Illustrator.

Will the following configuration help me? Kindly Help!!

I have omitted the GPU for now, but plan to add it later on. I do not play at all.

Solution
I do a lot with Photoshop and AfterEffects - you might want to consider 16GB of RAM - on big files, it will make a big difference (happens in about 25% of my Photoshop Files).

The WD Green drive shouldn't be used as a data drive (they do great for backups) - but because of head parking green features, it will cause problems when you go to save or load files (about a 3-5 second delay while the drive spins up). I would suggest a WD Black drive (the fastest), or WD Blue drive (budget).

If you aren't playing any games - I would suggest the Gigabyte GeForce 750ti - I use it with great results (It does a little gaming - but you won't get highest FPS) in Photoshop and AfterEffects. It is only $150.

I have chosen 16GB of RAM only, pls chk the specs again. I plan to OC.

Always use 1 complete memory set even if the sets are of same company.
A gpu is very much needed for ur purpose.
I would suggest going with the new Haswell-E processors.
Can u quote ur budget?
Also from where u will be buying? Local store or any online site?
Answer these, it will be beneficial for us to help u. 😉

I would suggest against mixing the memory:

"Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($83.47)
Memory: A-Data XPG V2 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($82.59) "

I would suggest a 2 X 8GB or 4 X 4GB configuration. Mixing memory only leads to issues....

I will consider WD Blue or seagate barracuda, was thinking of 750 Ti OC from ASUS.

So should I opt for the ADATA RAMs? or the Corsair ones? I live in India, will be buying from a local store n some parts online, I have converted my local prices to dollars for easy reference. Actually I have already exceeded my budget a bit, that's why Im delaying the GPU for now. Thank You!

How about this??

Can u please quote ur budget?
I live in India too. All parts are not available to us like the us residents(lucky ones) and import duty, if decided to buy parts from international site, makes the cost much higher.

Again u are making the mistake of choosing 2 sets of RAM rather than 1 single set of 16gb. Although they are of same specs but it is recommended to buy single set of RAM.

They are exactly the same. Its jus that I have chosen 2 sets of 4+4 to make a total of 16GBs. I have a budget of 80,000 INR.

Well, like I said, it has great reviews around the web and all the reviewers on Newegg seem to like it, too. I also own this RAM and haven't had any issues at all with it. I'd go for it.

Note: It is 2x8 GB sticks.

Yeah. Thank you for your help mate. :)

Although they are same sets but even the company doesn't recommends it. In a set all the rams are tested for their consistency & compability. So mixing 2 sets even if they are of same kind is not advisable as the two sets may or may not work. So why take the risk when 100% sure 1 set of required amount is available.

Thank you mate! :)

Edited your build. You can get better components for cheaper and 16GB - 2400mhz kit for $135.

As for buying, primeabgb.com is a great source. I recently purchased parts of about 2400USD (INR 1,50,000) for my new system. They are very helpful. Just contact their customer support and enquire about parts. Also as compared to amazon, flipkart, snapdeal they are cheaper in rates.
Hope this helps. Enjoy the build. 😉
