If I ever win the lottery I am going to build this system. It's always been my dream to build the fastest computer possible for Windows XP. So, what do you think? I know the RAM is overkill in capacity but I wonder what 4x1GB Kit would work for quad channel? I couldn't find any. The next most powerful options would be socket 1155 or AM3+ with a 780ti. It's too bad they didn't release any XP drivers for 1150, because LGA 2011 is expensive! LOL!

Not possible, there are no compatible drivers for most of your components. You would be stupid as hell to use XP in this day and age anyway. Instead, consider virtualization for your XP needs and stick to Win 10 for the host OS

I should have mentioned it would be for offline XP gaming use mostly. I can always dual boot XP and another version of Windows if I wanted with this setup. Virtualization is out of the question. I tried it before, it doesn't work good. You're wrong about the drivers, they are so easily available for this setup I barely even had to look around.

Most games no longer support XP, and XP doesn't natively support SSDs (TRIM). It's a bad idea. As for virtualization, you clearly have never tried virtualization in Win 10 1511. They added RemoteFX so now things actually run on hardware rather than software.

Unless you have professional software needs, XP is just a dumb move.

Yeah, what a stupid idea and a waste of money and hardware! As if I could even find those parts. I'll just upgrade to Windows 10 like everyone else. I'm sure Windows XP virtualization will work perfectly on new skylake hardware with no problems at all.

Most games don't have any issues with 10, the few that do aren't that good to begin with! Hell, I regularly play Win 95 games on my Win 10 machine, so most likely you'll be fine
