Hey well this is my first post on this site, i've been reading here for a while now. Anyways I'm building this computer for a school project and it'll be my main computer after the project since I am in need of an upgrade :). I game here and there games like warcraft and bf2. Also for some light programming. Anyways I am going for a budget performance over clocked system. Please help and critique this build any input would be nice thanks :).

Motherboard : GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX Intel

There are a few things I haven't picked out like the power supply and such cause I am not to familiar with that area. I was kind of leaning towards getting a modular to keep clutter out of the case. Also wondering if that case is good for airflow. Also if that video card is a little over doing it right now i'm on a 6600GT. Maybe something like a 7900GT but that only comes up like $20 cheaper I think. Anyways I hope you can help me finalize my decisions thanks :).

Wow thats one hell of a system for a school project.

If you want to save some money go with the E4300 as soon as the prices drop in April.

Yes that system looks good, I would keep the X1950XT.

I hope you will OC this system cause what you have there is an OCing machine.

Enjoy!

Keep the video card, you won't be disappointed.
I would go with an e4300, OCs great on the DS3.
CheckPSU 101and get one of the tier 1 PSUs if you are serious about OCing.
Don't forget to buy a good HSF, or water-cooling setup if you want a good OC.

Hey thx for the replies, It's a little late right now so I'll look for a psu tommorow. Hmm I guess tier 2 is what I should be going for cause Tier 1 is a bit to $$ pricey :).
