building/upgrading my home computer

I'd like to build a computer,the optiplex980 with I5 cpu that i currently use, works well but lacks video and audio and as i don't seem to be able to increase the power supply I have been looking online for parts to build my own .The problem being all results seem to land me in the gamming catergories and i dont require a gamming computer just an upgraded computer for home with good graphics audio and usb 3.0...basically i'm looking for is a chevy but they keep showing me sports cars.....any suggestions will be appreciated.

What are the full exact specs of your computer currently? The optiplexes seem to have different specs, they are flexible.
