My mouse still works and I can move it on screen and if im gaming it runs smooth as silk. But for example if i'm in steam the application freezes if I switch from the store to the library. This happens out of nowhere.

Specs:
ryzen 3700x
2070 super
16 gb ram

Solution
Drivers - Motherbd chipset, GPU, then back to the rest of the Motherbd drivers

I'm assuming you've overclocked, Ram at minimum.
Have your run Memtest86 for several hours to insure your ram speed is stable?
Have your run a lengthy CPU or burn in test to insure it's OC is stable?

Drives-Have you checked your drives SMART output with something like CrystalDiskInfo to make sure the drive isn't beginning to have a problem?
