So i built a new PC and kept my old m.2, HDD and SSD's from my previous build. when i connected everything up only the m.2 shows up in the bios and i have used all the sata ports on the board and it will still not detect the drives. i have used different sata cables and power cables for my motherboard and it still wont detect them.

Specs :
Asrock b460m steel legend motherboard
10700k i7
igame advanced 3080
ax860 corsair power supply
32gb corsair vengence raam

That is exactly what the issue was. I purchased the white cables from corsair thinking they would be compatible and then double checked all the cables and noticed they are slightly different. i modified the 6 pin sata cable to match the original ax860 cable and plugging in an old drive and it worked perfectly fine.

i guess i destroyed my drives RIP.
