With 7770 and Sata HDD from old PC

I just got my new parts shipped today and I put everything together carefully. But everything is in the right place. I plugged everything in and all the fans were running and the power button worked. I waited for the monitor to pop up with something but it never happened 🙁. They keyboard also never worked, which is a ps/2. I had 2 Satas in the PC before and only one worked. Would the broken HDD cause not even the BIOS to load up? I also have no internal speakers so I can't hear any beeps or anything, none came with.

Are you plugged in properly to your monitor? How so, HDMI?

No, a broken hard drive should not prohibit you from entering BIOS, since the BIOS data is stored on the motherboard's chip.

Also, did you plug your PSU 4-pin or 8-pin cable into the CPU power plug? Common mistake. If you don't do that the processor cannot run, and nothing can happen.

I had a similar issue with my build. Check to see weather your monitor is connected to the correct output on your graphics card and make sure it's the right cable as well. If that's not the case, then have you installed all of your drivers?
