So i just built a PC and i connected everything yet nothing shows on monitor. Parts list:

AMD A8-9600
MSI A320M PRO-VD motherboard
Patriot Signature Line 4GB DDR4 2400
Nvidia GeForce 8400GS 256MB
DIYPC Solo-T1-BK
WD Blue 1TB hard drive
ASUS 24X DVD writer

I plugged everything in, every thing is set up yet nothing even shows on the monitor. All front panel connectors and power connectors are good. Any response would be apppreciated thanks

P.S. first time on this kind of site ive been building for about 4 years

Solution

Either connect your display to the GPU or try removing the GPU. Some motherboard, when detecting a discrete graphics card will automatically disable the on-board graphics.

Alternately, you can check your motherboard BIOS to see if there is an option to enable on-board graphics even if a discrete graphics card is detected.
