Okay so first off i had a friend help me build a computer. He knows his stuff. We built it from scratch. New everything, the Mother bored was "Preowned" opened but never really used. We got a wireless card, for some reason, after putting the card in and trying to install the drivers, the computer could not find the stupid card at all. no matter what i did, different slot, uninstalling, re installing taking out putting back in everything i could think of, even looking online for help. Nothing. then we bought a new card that for somereason was just too small. It would not fit in the PCI slot. it had barley 1 cM longer. then with my old desk top we had a wireless card that worked perfectly, this card is an ASUS PCE-N10 PCI-E Adapter. this card fits perfectly but we lost the CD. So i got the drivers from online. I had some trouble installing the drivers, and i don't know if i did it right, but when i opened the WLAN control center it says " asus wireless lan card is taken apart from your desktop pc" i have no idea what that means, and anywhere i look for help, they either dont have the same problem as me, or it isnt solved in the thread i look. What can i do? Do i need the CD? Am i missing something? Are the drivers out of date and need updated ones? i don't know whats going on.
