Hello everyone!

I'm Aljaž, new to this forum smile.gif. Been reading forum for some time now, and decided to make my own account, since I need your help. Kinda selfish xD. I hope im asking in the right section.

So let's get to the point, I'm planning to build myself a new desk, with PC in it. I've come to the point, where I'd need some more opinions.

I've decided for air cooling instead of water cooling, because I think I won't need it, not planning to overclock much. I've designed a desk in sketchup, and added my idea for airflow.

I imagined it like this, but I'm wondering if this would do the trick. If it helps, I plan to add powersupply to the right side of the table. Also, would you recommend 120mm or 140mm fans?

Sorry for my english, it's not the best smile.gif.

Thanks for all your help. :)

Best regards

Solution
Your plan is good, use biggest possible fans, they are quieter. Have PSU's exhaust side vent to outside. Make sure you place a mesh on outside of the fans so nobody sticks a finger in them. Car speaker covers/masks can make beautiful covers for fans.
If table is all wood and MB mounted on wood, make sure at least one of the holes in motherboard is grounded to PSU.

Hey,

sorry for the late reply, been busy alot =). Thanks for the answer. Meanwhile I've worked more on my desk. I decided to go with 3x 140mm Corsair fans with high static pressure for intake, and 2x 140mm Corsair fans with high airflow for exhaust. Altough, one think is still bugging me. As seen from attached picture, 2 exhaust fans and graphic card fans would blow in the opposite way. I don't know if that would be a problem at all, but I rather ask you guys here before going all in =).

And to answer to CountMike: I'm planning on adding filters for intake, will consider your option aswell. For the motherboard mount, I'll disassemble old case of mine, screw that in the wood. And then mount MB to it =).

Best regards
