built in standoffs?

Solution
Hi

You must check that the standoffs are only located at locations where there is a hole in the motherboard.
If the standoff touches the bottom of the motherboard where there is no mounting hole you can destroy the motherboard.

An easy way to check is to rest the motherboard on a sheet of paper and use a pencil or a nail to mark the paper at each screw hole.
then transfer the paper to the case

frequently cases have standoffs at a few locations where all size motherboard will expect them and loose ones to be added as required
