Built my computer now I get a blank screen

I'm just build my computer. I booted it up and got a blank screen. The led indicators on my mouse and keyboard light up. The system fans (which are plugged into the mobo) light up and spin. The led on the optical drive lights up. I've tried the following:
Made sure all cables and components are plugged in. Including the cpu fan and the cpu power supply
Tried plugging it into the monitor via VGA and hdmi cables from both the video card and the mobo.
Removed the video card and tried both the hdmi and vga plugs from the mobo.
Removed the RAM. I got three beeps.

What should I try next?

Oh, nearly forgot:
I7 4790k
Msi z97 mobo
GeForce Gtx 970
