I just built a computer I have a SSD and a mechanical hard drive. SSD is working great but my computer isn't using the hard drive. 🙁 shows up on Device manager and BIOS but doesn't show up on Disk management.

I had the same problem. I re-installed Windows 10 on an SSD and the hard drive didn't show up in Windows after re-connecting it. I installed EaseUS data recovery software and it saw the hard drive. I didn't try to recover anything. I rebooted the PC and then Windows saw the hard drive. I'm not sure what fixed it but it appears to be a common problem. My PC is 6 years old.

I believe it's a sata. This is my first time building a pc so I'm not sure what a m. 2 is.

Try plugging it into different SATA port.

I just installed EaseUS, and it sees the hard drive as "Lost Partition1"

I was never a fan of EASE US, I always preferred Partition wizard, but can you format it somehow?

Try running windows installation boot and format it from there, if it doesn't recognize it there or says some kind of error, unplug your other hard drives/ssds and try it again, if that doesn't work then I don't know.

I'm sorry I don't quite understand what ur trying to say. This is my first pc build so I'm very new to all of this.

Try formatting the hard drive in Ease US.

I believe that is what I'm doing atm it gave me an option to "recover", going to take about two hours tho :pfff:

It may work.

I'm really hoping it does because I'm almost out of storage  I'll let you know what happens.
Thanks so much for the help!

Let us know! I am glad I could help!

Didn't work :sarcastic:

You have windows installation usb/cd? If you do, boot into it and go like you would install windows but instead, just format your hdd and exit installation.

I do have windows on an USB but it's not the full windows I have a watermark in my right corner but I'll give it a try
