I have been thinking about building a computer to play BF3 and basically be an insane BEAST I have built what I think will be top of the line but basically i am looking on what other people think could be better i will be saving for a couple months to buy this so build may be as far away as Christmas not to worried about price so don't take this as a factor but lets build an amazing computer.

CPU: AMD Bulldozer FX-8150
CPU Cooler: Thermalright Silver Arrow CPU Cooler
Motherboard: ASUS Crosshair V Formula Thunderbolt Motherboard
Graphics Card: ASUS Radeon HD6990 4GB
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X F3-17000CL11D-8GBXL (2x4GB) DDR3
Power Supply: Antec TruePower Quattro 1200W TPQ-1200
Case: CoolerMaster HAF X Case
Hard Drive: OCZ Revodrive PCI-Express size will not come into factor for performance :)
Monitor: ASUS ML249H
Optical Drive: Anything that plays DVD's (feel free to comment on your ideas though)

can you please post something I can have a read of that proves this, as i prefer AMD it would need to be amazingly convincing to swap me over.

No such thing as overkill, always want to add more as things get older

^+1 for gaming the phenom II x4/x6 at the same and lower clock speed beats bulldozer most of the time, the intel 2500k beats it 99% of the time and in most cases is SIGNIFICANTLY faster.
