Bulldozer sets overclocking WORLD RECORD!!!

it will be interesting to see how much i'll be able to push it, the whole system is designed for overclocking. ez 5000ghz i'm sure. stable.

Perhaps you should read on to where the article's author states "None of this tells us much about how Bulldozer will perform unfortunately".

Don't jump the gun, mate. That clock says nothing about performance, it simply means that it can achieve 8.5ghz whilst being "extreme" cooled by helium.

i read it, but i still bet intel is sweating bullets..and i still bet my system will rock da house.

I'm just as excited to see how BD performs as the next guy. But losing your mind over a single article that says nothing at all about the overall performance of the CPU seems a bit pre-mature and overly optimistic.

Don't you think?

and..liquid helium cooling is nothing new..intel has been doing it for years. but their record is no where near 8429ghz.

its not a "single article..its major headlines..want others? how about cbs? geesh always 1

I said nothing about Intel, you are clearly only interested in starting a flame war.

flame war? i was just letting other 'fanboys ' as you call them know the latest..i think its you who want the flamewar
i noticed you edited "fanboys" out...guess you realized it was YOU who was trying to start a flame war huh?

its news..new news..and the world is right now soaking that in..more headlines are popping as we speak.
And yes, I am an AMD fan..or "fanboy" as you like to call it. I have designed my whole system around the bulldozer and am confident that when built it will surpass anything intel can offer at a competitive price as well as Alienware or Falcon Northwest.
AMD/Nvidia rule!

Hardly, you simply seem to have your facts a little mixed up is all. For instance, to say that Intel has never come close to those clocks is fallacy, seeing as they reached 8199.5MHz with a Intel Celeron D 347 processor (that's a five year old CPU). So, sadly it's just not that impressive.......

Personally, much like everyone else I will be waiting on the user benchmarks until I render my verdict regarding BD.

wait all you like, i'll let you know true benchmarks soon. with a system designed for it.

5 years..and a celeron processer you say?..impressive..you would think they would have surpassed that by now..

thats funny..hardware..adult lego's...good stuff lol
