Hey there.
was playing some games then my PC shut off.
i thought power went out but until bios screen showed me ASUS Anti Surge turned off to protect the PC or something.
I immediately turned off my PC and noticed a smell from the under part.
Saw it was the PSU, took it out now and hoping that my PC is okay.

what are the chances of PC being affect in this nature of PSU's death?
Is this how they usually die?

(Please note that its around 35-38c in my city for the summer during day)

IF you think my PC has survived the catastrophe.
What will you recommend for a New Power supply?
System is here
4770k

Xigmatek Centauro 700W.
It was also sent under warranty after it blew up And took my previous mobo with itself.

Then they sent me this after saying "Refurbed"

Although it performed well until now.
Since the PSU Chassis was way too hot to grab a hold on it.
I think the fan died first :S
