I have a normal CD drive that I have burnt discs with regularly. However it has now started to give me a weird problem.
I insert a blank disk, and burn my files to the disk. Everything goes smoothly. I then eject the disk and it goes through the process of telling me it is preparing it to be able to be used on other pc's etc. It is able to be read fine on my girlfriends PC and laptop. However when I put the disk back into my PC, it is unable to locate the disk. At first I thought it was my CD drive, but my girlfriend burnt another disk of the same type and it worked perfectly, as well as I inserted a normal DVD to make sure that it could read other disks.
Basically when burning to a disk on my CD drive it then becomes unable to read that exact same CD (so it seems it is burning in a way that makes the disc unreadable only on my PC) that it just picked up minutes ago and I cant figure out why it cant find that when it can find other discs just fine.
Any help would be great!
Running Windows 8.1 if that makes a difference at all!
