Burnt Motherboard affected PSU, GPU and CPU?

So i was trying to tweak my chassis fans and what i did was leave the computer powered on, whilst i knew i had to shut it down.
So when i plugged in the 4pin to my motherboard.
The computer shat down and it gave me the scent of burning component(s).
First what i did was reinstalling my old setup (PSU, GPU).
The fans would rotate one tick and the computer would shut down (not booting or turning on)
So i hope its only the motherboard instead of the GPU, PSU And CPU.
So my question is are my other components damaged???

I doubt the psu is affected too but it might be.
I installed an older psu of mine and had same results.
So i just hope its the mobo only...
Thanks for the reply bruv, helps a lot
