If you're under warranty period, simply RMA the unit. In fact, the component you speak of looks like a surface mounted capacitor however I can't recommend you fix it since you couldn't identify it. I'm not joking here, in seriousness, you should either ditch it and replace with a quality unit or have it taken to a certified repair shop.

Out of curiosity, what is the make and model of your PSU and how old is it?

i'm out of warranty period. i did bring it to a repair shop, but he can't identify what component is that. i inend to bring it back to him if i had gotten my hand on what that part is. i'm using seasonic sii 620w. it's probably 4 years old now. i think the damaged is not caused by the psu, but because of the way i mount the ssd, i had no ssd munt back then, so i use a zip tie, i probably set it too tight.

it was actually a gift, so i didn't choose the brand. is kingston or sandisk a good brand? but im on a tight budget currently, probably cant buy it yet.
