burnt plastic smell

Hi, and thank you in advance for helping. I was on my computer the other day and it started to make a burnt plastic smell so i turned it off and did some research and it said i should remove my cover and dust everything which i did. Now im wondering if i should even turn it on until l figure out what the problem could be.

I have a corsair tx 650 watt power supply i bought two years ago if that has anything to do with.

probably some wire insulation overheating .... if ya use a paper towel tube, sometimes you can isolate the source...I'm betting on the PSU..... sniff the psu air outelt

Are you overclocking anything? If you are you may be going into the extremes and can you please list your computers components such as what board and what gpu?
