There was a smell of burning coming from my PC one day so i turned it off. After researching around i found out the smell could be anything but a common culprit (apart from dust or insects) is the PSU and that if it was indeed the PSU then it could take out other components if it blows or something, i also found a had a pretty bad PSU so i just went and replaced it, then i turned on my computer and after 20 minutes some of the smell was back, not as strongly though, it just smells if i stick my nose on the computers backside (for now).I left my computer alone (case closed) for 5 days while my new PSU arrived, could it just be the old smell that stayed there? should i leave just use it as normal for a couple days and see if the smell persists? i saw someone else recommend that on another thread. The problem is that i wasn't 100% sure if the smell was actually coming from the PSU. If he source of the smell was, for example, the motherboard, could it take out any other parts if it dies? or is there pretty much no other component apart from the PSU that can take out multiple other parts together?

My temps are normal and my computer is working perfectly as well.

Solution
Looks fine.
PSU is good and sufficient for the system.
A bit of dust residue, but nothing too much.
Didn't notice any signs of damage.

Oh - PSU is modular. Make sure, you use modular cables only from this PSU (not your old one). Modular cables are not compatible between different PSU models.

Not related to your issue, but
you should upgrade ram to 2 ram modules, to enable dual channel memory mode;
also improve airflow of your case (you don't have any case fans).
I'd suggest getting a new modern pc case with mesh front and fan filters, to keep dust out.
