Hi Folks,

I recently purchased a Gigabyte B450M DS3H WIFI to go along with my new R5 3600.

Everything was working fine until today. I was trying to change my stock cooler for a water cooled one

I forgot to insulate the back portion of MOBO and turned it on, I heard a slight pop like sound and instantly turned the machine off and tried looking for burnt out parts/capacitors as there was a burnt plastic smell. The back part of the motherboard where (shown below) smelt like burnt plastic. I was very worried as i was unable to find anything else out of the normal.

My PC has been running for the last 3 hrs without any issues have played cyberpunk for an hour now and there are no weird issues. I am worried if something could've gone wrong with MOBO as i am worried that it might kill the rest of my setup.

Should i wait for something to happen or should i RMA/Get a diff board??

My Specs:

RTX 2060 Super
3600 @ Stock
3200mhz DDR4 Corsair Vengeance RAM
Corsair RM 750 PSU
512GB NVME
