Hello,

I initially bough a xiaomi notebook pro (i7/16gb ram,mx150), but the laptop never arrived because stock ended. After getting a refund I am lokoing for a laptop under 1000$ that can fill these requirements:
-Clean look
-Under 2kg(4.3lbs)
-6+hour of screen time
-Good construction(I'm a student, probably be moving it around 3 to 4 times a day )
-Can handle light gaming/ relatively heavy programing(machine learning)
-15 inch screen

I had chosen the i7 version just because of the 16 gb, i'm not sure but i think an 8 gen i5 is also ok.
As for the graphics a 1050 is a welcome upgrade but i think that might not be good because of battery life, price and weight.
I need it at most until march, don't know if I should buy now or maybe wait.

Thanks in advance!

I found two systems that I think you may like:

1# ASUS K570UD-DS74 VivoBook ($939):
https://www.amazon.com/K570UD-DS74-VivoBook-Laptop-i7-8550U-802-11ac/dp/B07B22NSPG/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
- i7-8550u
- 8GB DDR4 RAM
- GTX1050
- 256GB SDD + 1 TB HDD
- 1080p screen
- 9 hours battery with quick charge feature - (But more like 2-5 according to reviewers)
- 4.2lbs

2# ASUS S510UN-EH76 VivoBook S ($849):
https://www.amazon.com/S510UN-EH76-VivoBook-i7-8550U-GeForce-Windows/dp/B0786TPWBP/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

- i7-8550u
- 8GB DDR4 RAM
- MX150
- 256GB SDD + 1 TB HDD
- 1080p screen
- 8 hours with quick charge - (reviewers state 4-6 hours)
- 3.7 lbs

OR

The same laptop as above without the 1TB HDD ($799):
https://www.amazon.com/VivoBook-i7-8550U-GeForce-NanoEdge-Display/dp/B07B7VFTN9/ref=sr_1_7?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1549402808&sr=1-7&keywords=lightweight%2Blaptop&refinements=p_36%3A2421890011&th=1

Both look very sleek and stealthy (i.e. not a typical gaming laptop) the differences between the two is obviously the graphics card and the battery life is most likely going to be better on the second option (Due to the MX150, instead GTX1050)
