Buy 2700k or wait?

I'm planning on an upgrade from my current 920 setup. I realize the differences may be minimal but recent hardware failures on my evga x58 motherboard have made me want to move onto bigger and better things. EVGA support is great but I have had too many RMAs with motherboards and graphics cards over the last 4 years.

With still no official release date on the LGA 2011, should I buy a 2700k or just replace my current evga x58 mobo with an asus model for overclocking?

Give it a week or so and you should be able to make a more informed choice. Depending on what you are going to be doing there may not be a large amount of perform increase by upgrading to the Intel Core i7-2700K at this time.
