Question buy 5700x3d or 1440p monitor?

hi,
swapping my old gpu to new 4070Ti, since i'm playing on 1080p 165hz, i think my gpu doesnt fully utilize. You know the old gpu usage is lower than cpu usage. I dont have problem with it since my gameplay is smooth, though i should have more fps with proper cpu.

does swapping from 5700x to 5700x3d worth it? will it solve my problem (less gpu usage than cpu usage)? will swapping from 1080p to 1440 also solve that problem?

buy 5700x3d or 1440p monitor?

my current build is :
- B450M steel legend
- Ryzen 5700X + Deepcool AK620
- 512 Gb Nvme m.2 pcie 3
- 32 Gb ram 3600mhz
- 4070TI
- Fractal ion+ 760 W platinum

Easiest to test it;
When playing 1080p Ultra/High settings, note down the average FPS.
Then play at 1080p Low settings and look if average FPS did increase.

If it did, your CPU has plenty of juice left and you're held back by GPU. In this case, going to 1440p reso monitor, would make sense.
If not and FPS remains same, then you're held back by CPU, whereby better CPU would offer more FPS.

What games are you playing? Some games will always be more cpu bound than gpu bound, also going 1440p isnt a bad call with that card, it has the performance to handle it well.
