Buy a completable fan for cpu

Hey guys I want to buy Intel 6700k and I want to know if my old fan for phenomenon ii x4 965 is completable with the new CPU and can keep it cool enough or not also how good is 6700k and gtx950 for gaming?

6700k is major overkill if paired with a GTX 950.

The 6700k would be a better match for something like a GTX 1080.

And no you'll need a new CPU cooler unless you kept all the brackets and screws and your old cooler was compatible with LGA 1150.

That cheap of a cooler going on a 6700k matched with a GTX 950?

It really doesn't make sense.

Basically a top of the line CPU with bargain bin GPU and cooler...
Why not go with an i5 6400 and invest the remainder in a well rounded system?

A good measure for gaming is to spend around the same amount on your GPU as the entire rest of your system...

If i have a $1600 budget, $800 would go to a top of the line GPU.

If i have a $600 budget, $300 would go to an entry range GPU.

$250 is really not enough to get a good GPU to pair with the 6700k.
I'd rather you get an i3 and a GTX 1070.
