Buy a graphics card now, or wait for vega?

I am building a computer right now and am curious if I should wait a whole two months to finish my build to either buy my RX 580 8gb card (at a reduced price due to the release), a 1070 (reduced Price), or a vega unit at that time. Is that valid? I have, however, aquired most of my parts for the build and by mid June, I should have all the parts.

For anyone else that is looking for advice, please leave such advice for them.

I somehow doubt that the price of RX 580-level cards will immediately drop due to the launch of Vega. Recent leaks seem to indicate that the lowest-cost Vega card may be priced similar to the GTX 1070. If it happens to be significantly better than a 1070, the price of that card might come down a bit, but I would expect it to take some time for that to trickle down to lower-level cards. There's still a pretty large price gap between the 1070 and the 1060/580, after all. If you are planning to buy a card for under $300, I don't think there will be any massive changes in that price segment immediately following Vega's launch.


As for waiting to complete the system, I'm not sure I would unless you have another semi-capable graphics card that you're willing to use in the mean time.

I own no graphics cards except one terrible intigrated one in my laptop, but thanks for helping me understand. I think I will look for any good deals and go from there.
