So right now after having my Ryzen 5 2600 for a year now, I am finding out that it performs better with faster RAM speed. I bought an 8GB pack of RAM at 2400MHz when I bought my CPU. I also bought a 144hz monitor and frame rate is important to me. Apparently 3000 or 3200mhz RAM would give me about a 5-10 frame increase in my games which is always nice. But there are some games with Discord open that eat up all my available RAM and I want to upgrade to 16 Gb. My question is would you spend roughly $70 to get a faster 3200mhz 16GB pack of ram or would you spend $45 for another 8GB? I have thought of overclocking my RAM but I would be too nervous of killing my RAM to try it.

Yes, the Ryzen's sure do like their faster RAM.

Faster16GB RAM kit all the way. I'd suggest a min. of DDR4-3200. My 2700X is real good friends with the 16GB g.skill FlareX DDR4-3200 I have paired with her. Hold onto the 2400mhz to use for emergency use, but do not put it into your system with the new faster RAM i just know you're gonna buy. :)
