Hi community,

I currently own the Asrock AB350 Pro 4 with the most updated bios, it has a broken 3.5mm jack for my speakers plus a crappy rgb software but runs the Ryzen 5 3600 just fine tho im getting 60-65c while gaming under the Cryorig H7.

Should I swap it out for a B450 or wait for the B550? Will it lower temps for my 3600 allow more OC capability? Im currently running it on PBO+Auto OC.

Solution
I wouldn't expect temps to be any lower. Depending on the specific B450 board, it may be glorified A320, or it could be (essentially) X470, there's a lot of variance.

From a strict chipset standpoint, essentially B350 = B450, so there's not much to be gained (if anything).
If you can get by with what you have for now, there's no harm waiting for B550 and see what's offered there.

Of course, if you need a board now, you need a board now - and that answers the question.

If nothing else, B550's launch (when it comes) will probably result in slight price reductions on B450...

I was hoping to get the B450 Tomahawk Max but I think ill just save the money and go with the B550 to match it with the current gen 3600. Thanks for the straight forward answer. Cheers.
