I am building a whole new PC

PC parts list

I was wondering what is the best price to performance monitor. Definitely under $400. I saw a cheap acer one, but I am concerned about the quality and color.
Any suggestions my pc parts list or monitor

Nice specs man ! it looks really good ! the only thing that i thought twice about was the graphics card. The 2070Super might be worth the extra money as it is such a great card.

To address your question: the Alienware AW2518H/AW2518HF is perfect. Allowing you to see games in 240hertz. The difference between the two is that the HF is not G-sink compatible. If you can do it I would definitely reach for the AW2518H It’s a beast. There’s only one on amazon right now so i would hurry !

Isn't IPS better though? Also is there a slightly more budget-friendly option? I am looking for something below $400 and either 1440p/144hz or 240hz/1080p.

NO !
IPS is the best at making colors look “realistic.” However, these monitors have low refresh rates. As far as gaming goes, TN panels are on top. Have you already looked at the Acer XF250Q Cbmiiprx @ 240Hertz ??

Just FYI, you probably can't tell the difference between 120 hz and 240.

If you lower your requirement to say 144hz, you open up a huge array of other options / features.
I watched a video and saw that you can by Linus tech tips. Very credible. Even between 144 and 240hz, you can tell a difference but lowkey, you are right. In 144 vs 240, it showed that you would only benefit if you are an insane competitive pc gamer that consistently is playing tournaments and are trying to make a living off of it which that isn't the case for me so I will probably opt down to 144 or 165.
